Alder Springs Vineyard Trousseau 2024
Mendocino County

Alder Springs Vineyard is known for producing exceptional fruit, specifically focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Rhone red and white varietals on its 6,000 acre ranch (only about 140 acres are planted) in Northern Mendocino, just 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean and ranging from 1,700 to 2,700 feet of elevation.
A pale crimson hue and slightly opaque, this Trousseau reflects the rugged, high-elevation slopes of Alder Springs, where rocky soils and cool nights preserve vibrancy. Aromas of iron, rhubarb, heritage red rose, and hibiscus unfold with striking clarity. The palate shows pomegranate seed, juicy red fruit, and tart cherry lifted by ripe pluot notes. Supple tannins frame the mid-palate, delivering both brightness and depth. Structured yet elegant, the wine feels more complex and harmonious than the varietal often suggests, leaving a lasting impression of balance and poise.
