H. Klopp Vineyard Chardonnay 2019
"Second vintage for us off of this young vineyard. Dialed in the clonal make up between Old Wente, Mt Eden and a very small version of Clone 4. A long press cycle made sure we got all the juice and some wonderful textures out of these grapes. Fermented and aged mostly in 500L French Oak Puncheons. Aged on the lees for 14 of its 18 month elevage. Bottled unfined and unfiltered." - Joseph Ryan
Starbright in color with notes of yellow apples, river stones, lemon curd and cream with a hint of warmth on the nose from very restrained oak. Sophisticated and complex on the palate with persistent acidity, velvety texture, and bright, refreshing, concentrated fruits and minerals.
