"In our 14 acres of Estate Pinot Noir in Freestone Valley, we have been identifying a lot of variation in ripeness based on soils, aspects and orientations. Two blocks at opposing ends of the vineyards blend to make this unique examination of site. On the north end, the longer hang time lends to well lignified wood and whole cluster fermentations. On the southern end, very small blocks of 667 and 115 clones maintain the essence of this site through their aromatics. Gentle cap management during fermentation, responding to the wine vs predetermining its destination, let us know this was special going into barrel. Aged entirely in Puncheon. Bottled unfined and unfiltered." - Joseph Ryan
