The 2015 Pinot Noir Freestone Ranch "The Settler" is pale ruby-purple colored with a very sultry nose of red roses, powdered cinnamon, kirsch and potpourri with suggestions of fertile soil, fallen leaves and moss. Light-bodied, soft, silky and yet wonderfully perfumed and intense in the mouth, it has an ethereal character that somewhat defies descriptors. 245 cases produced.

father's Freestone Hill Vineyard, John Cleary and his family have their own
parcel of West Sonoma Coast vineyard land: this 6-acre plot. Ernest has leased
and farmed this site since 2015 which, as our coldest vineyard, is a challenging
task in even the best years.
